Description

Students will learn about musical instruments and group them into these categories: percussion, strings, woodwinds, and brass.

Procedure

First, you will present the different types of musical instruments.

Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, and Harp

Brass: Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, and Tuba

Woodwinds: Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Bassoon, English Horn, Oboe, Flute, and Piccolo

Percussion: Piano, Bass Drum, Xylophone, Timpani, Snare Drum, Cymbals, Triangle, and Tambourine

After you discuss these different instruments, then, you can give them the worksheet. Worksheet - Musical Instruments

Directions: Group the following instruments in the right categories. There are twenty-four instruments.
