Description

In this lesson, students will find words in the following phrase: Thanksgiving is the time to be thankful.

Goals

Students will learn:
To find smaller words in phrases and sort them into groups

Materials Needed

Worksheet
Pencils and Erasers

Procedure

First, you will copy the following worksheet so that each student will have a copy.

Then, you can give them an example on the board: Thanksgiving is the time to be thankful

Example:

Two Letter Word - To

Three Letter Word - his

Four Letter Word - tank

You need to explain to the students that they can use only the letters that are in the phrase. You can also explain that they can write words that are not in order such as his or tank.

After that, you can give them the worksheet so they can work independently.
