Description

This lesson is about comparing numbers. Students will have a worksheet where they will tell if the numbers are greater, smaller, or equal.

This lesson is for third through fifth grade students. It can also be used for special education students.

Procedure

First, you will copy the worksheet so that each student will have a copy.

Then, you will write the following examples on the board so the students will know what to do on their worksheets.

Examples: Which one is smaller? 255, 256, 268, 259

The answer is 255.

Examples: Which one is larger? 255, 268, 629, 628

The answer is 629 is larger. After that, you will pass out the worksheets for them to work on them independently.
