This lesson plan is for fourth and fifth grade students. They will search for the beginning facts of Thanksgiving and write a fiction story with them as the main character and what happened to them during this period of history.

Writing a story about the beginning of Thanksgiving with them as the main character
Materials Needed
Internet to learn about the beginning of Thanksgiving
Notebook paper
Pencils and Erasers
Pens
Procedure
First, the students need to do some research about the beginning of Thanksgiving. Then, they need to write a fiction story about that time period with them as the main character. After that, they will turn in their papers for you to grade.
Grading
You can grade them on their accuracy of the time period, and you can grade them on grammar and structure of their sentences and paragraphs.
