Description

Children will make bookmarks for their parents. The bookmarks will have a picture of each child. You will laminate them when the children finish them.

Goals

To learn how to be creative
To draw or write
To make bookmarks

Materials Needed

Construction paper
Photo of each child
Crayons
Laminating machine or paper
Glue stick

Procedure

First, you will need to take a picture of each student. Then, you will develop them and have them ready for the day you want the children to make bookmarks. When you are ready to have the students make their bookmarks, you will need to have a few colors of construction paper that you cut into strips so that students can select the color they want to use. After they have chosen the color, then you need to use the glue stick lightly and glue their picture at the top of the bookmark, and tell them they can draw something below their picture.

When the students have finished their bookmarks, you can laminate them by using the laminating machine or by purchasing a package of laminating paper and laying the bookmarks face down between the two sheets.

Grading

You can praise the students for their creative ability.
