  • my grandchildren are attending k 2 3 4 & 7th
there was an incident that occurred on 9/30/10. according to the dean of schools she had my grandson write a letter of the incident, where then she wrote in the word that was used by questioning my grandson (mind you the dean of schools told me that my grandson didn't know what the word meant. i understand that obscentives are ULGY and i have raised my grandchildren not to use words that they don't know the meaning of, but apparently there was a game going on kids were laughing, children were using this word because they were laughing my grandson said the word to a girl he knew thinking it was just any word used at random and she retaliated by punching him on the chest and knocked the wind out of him! without thinking in his defense he punched back and was attacked by another boy who saw what happened. apparently there was 3-4 kids involved in this incident!!!!
the disciplinary action was a 5 day suspension for a 1st time offense on my child! This young man has never been in any kind of trouble! He is a very GOOD AND WELL MANNERED BOY! It has totally devasted HIM to the point of sadness and terrible headaches! talked to HIM about all the ocurred and He told me that He was feeling very bad and sad about the whole thing!
the dean of schools said that my grandson and the girl both apologized to each other on their own accord!!! what I don't understand is WHY such a Harsh punishment for something that was resolved between both parties involved?
Can anyone help with this? i understand that Quentin is a (no hands used for hurting) how many times does my grandson have to apologize to cut down this disciplinary action!!!!!!!????????
