  • Daughtry Elementary is a fantastic school. The teachers and staff go way above and beyond what is expected of them. Daughtry is a very fun, active, "family oriented" school. The entire school staff, students and family members are highly intertwined. There is a great emphasis on children obtaining a great education as well as strong family values. Everyone at Daughtry is more than willing to help any child in need, and they also "know" the students and respect them as individuals. They know who the children are, their names, and their families. There are many family / teacher, staff gatherings through out the year. Daughtry has a very strong music department which gives every child an opportunity to be a part of something. We recently had an art show, silent auction, performances, and fun and games for the entire family. This event consisted of framed art work by the students, which could be purchased by family. The school is also involved with Relay for Life, community gatherings, Jr. Beta Club, D.A.R.E, book clubs, etc. The school also offers after school child care. ~Now for one of the most important thing about Daughtry,... The educational instruction given to the children is pheonominal. My children have learned so much this year, in fact, I have too. The teachers here have a talent. They have a very unique way of teaching the students while at the same time, making them really enjoy learning. It is obvious that these teachers enjoy what they do. The Principal, Joyce Rowe, is a very dominant figure throughout the school. She is extreamly involved with the children and the school. Everytime I have seen her, she has always had a gentle, friendly smile on her face. She speaks very kindly of everyone.
I definately give Daughtry 5 out of 5 stars. ~ DES ROCKS !!!
