  • Bring your child here if you want them to be bullied by other kids. Especially if they are overweight or have a physical handicap. My child was harrassed for being overweight by other kids and nothing was done about it.

  • This is a wonderful school with careing teachers. My 5 year old daughter is in kindergarten there. My wife, who volunnteers in the classroom, just raves about the school. She is a speach Therapist with 20 years experience, 12 years of it in various public schools, and she recognizes good programs and teachers. If you look at test scores for Salinas, Mission Park is one of the top schools in the area. It’s a joy to see my daughter learning so much (she reads at a 1st grade level now) and enjoying herself so much that she looks forward to going school everyday. Do your homework and talk to other parents and you'll see that Mission Park is regarded as a great school.

  • I went to Mission Park way back in the 80's. I don't know how it is today, but I absolutley loved that school. I miss it to this day. I have great memories.

  • I put in for an intra district transfer for my child to attend this school because of it's numbers but, because my child has special needs this school was not able to provide the accurate recourses, concern or compassion. The principal told my child that this was not her home school. And told me that she was just a visitor here. My perception of our conversation was that it was easier for every one to throw their hands up in the air and not care because of her intra district transfer and the only reason they deal with other children with the same personality with out a intradistrict transfer was because they had to. She watched the clock on the wall and the watch on her arm and I felt like she really had no time to discuss my child with me. This school was not what I thought it was going to be. I thought they would be able to help my child with her social development because that too comes with along with education but, found it very discouraging to hit this brick wall and having them have my child with one foot out the door. How sad for an eight year old to feel so unaccepted from the beginning. My child will not be returning to this school. This is just one opinion but a painful one.
