  • Please note that this school did not make Adequate yearly Progress for the previous year. It is a INTERVENE SCHOOL based on the differentiated accountability model. Which can be verified by the Department of Education's website. If your child is currently attending this school you are eligible to receive additional information from Florida School Choice Parent Resource Centers to assist your child. You can reach FSCPRC at (866)281-4678. You can find more information on Interven schools on page 107 on http://www.fldoe.org/news/2008/2008_07_29/diffaccountimplem.pdf .

  • My experience with this school for my 1st grade son was probably the worst encounter. I was never informed that my son had a reading problem therefore I focused on math with him which I thought was his weakness at home, at the end of the year it was sprung on me and by that time it was too late. He passed the math part but failed the reading and is now going to be retained. On top of the unprofessionalism of the teacher and curse words being used by the grandmothers of the class room. and my son telling my entire family his teacher doesn't like him and the teacher making out of order comments to him. I am desperately trying to find a replacement school. I am a mother of 3 and this is the first time I have ever encountered a very unpleasant school year like this. I really hope they teach the teacher professionalism and the appropriate way to deal with the students instead of acting like they're dealing with someone inside their own homes maybe things will get better and the 1st and 2nd graders test scores will be a lot better than they are this year. I am a very disappointed parent and apparently my complaining did not get me anywhere. So this was my review of the school itself.
