  • I am a 1968 graduate of Choctawhatchee and feel that I received a very solid basic foundation of education from the teachers at that time. My most memorable teacher was Mr. Joe Bob Stuckey. He was the most difficult teacher for English grammer, but also the best. I have left the FWB area shortly after graduation but returned many times for visits. Choctawhatchee was the school that left a large mark on me in life as school spirit never dies. I have made a few of my class reunions and find the "BIG GREEEN INDIAN" is still alive and well. Best to all from "68" and look forward to the 40th year reunion. I will be returning from Germany for this one.

  • I graduated in 1963 so attended the old Shalimar high school for my senior year only. It was more of an "open air" campus as opposed to a one large building high school I attended in Germany. I liked it, but coming from Germany in August, it was hot! Although I attended only one year, the school spirit was contagious and I quickly went from a Raider (last high school) to an Indian. I have fond memories of Choctaw, and would love to get back to Fort Walton Beach some day.
