  • Beware, this school stresses discipline over academics. My son's education suffered to the point I decided to remove him from the school seven weeks into the year. I feel my son was targeted and treated differently. He was moved to the back of the classroom away from the other kids and kept out of the school production. Instead he sat in a classroom by himself and colored in a book. I was pressured to have him tested. My husband and I were told by the administration that they were glad we were helping him at home, because he wasn't learning in school. I was told that they don't think my son is "retarded, that he is very bright" but that he is "zoning out" and not paying attention in class and they have not found the right approach to reaching him. My son went from Satisfactory and A's in kindergarten last year to a "D" in reading. I did not get any helpful feedback to boost his grade or any helpful suggestions from the administration despite the fact he was getting 40's, 50's, and 60's on his latest reading quizes. Instead the teacher's response was that they want to know what he learned IN school. This school did not engender my trust. I feel that I made a bad decision choosing this school and that at best they are misguided.
