  • I graduated from Glenview in 2000 and I would have to agree with the person who had made the comment on the tryouts for sports. They hand pick who they want on their team. I played basketball for them never played because my parents were not wealthy and they didn't know me. Needless to say when I got to UTHS with the same kids, I started in every sport I went out for, and the kids that were suppose to be the best at Glenview didn't even make the team or play. So the fact of the matter is when I was there teams were already picked before the tryouts. It should be the best players for the team not the most popular. If this is happen to your kid tell them to hang in there and keep their head up. Keep working their skills and by the time they get to highschool they will get a fair chance. Go Gators and Panthers.

  • A majority of the faculty were very caring. But as the other reviewer stated bullying is a significant problem. I tried to work with the administration regarding the bullying and instead was reported for my son's tardiness. The problem seems to be during the breaks in between classes. There is is little to no supervision in the dim lit hallways. He is a big kid, yet was afraid to go to school. His teachers made it worthwhile, they are to be commended. I wish the administration would do something about the harassment and bullying. I even contacted the PTA to set up a parent volunteer program. No success, not enough parent involvement either.

  • There is plenty of bullying at this school. This school is great if your child excels naturally or is terrible toubled or behind severly and can receive state assisted programs. However if your child is caught in the middle of the two expect the finger and $ to placed as your problem. Also the sports have one day tryouts so if you missed you are out, and how do they know any persons potential to play in a one or two day tryout and no clinics!
