  • My son went for the 2009 kinder school year. The teacher was great but the security was horrible. I've noticed that not but 65 -70ft away from the play yard, and the kindergarden center, random people congregate and smoke there cigarettes , play loud inappropriate music, as if it was a party area. I personally dont think that is safe or a good environment for the children that attend North School to be around. And yet the school doesnt do anything about. Towards the end of the school year, i over heard one of the older elementry children who hall monitors for the kinder classes talking about how A creepy old homless man was trying to make converstation with the younger kids and then came at her and the other hall monitors, they were freaked out, this man should not have been on school grounds,he was not a parent. There were NO teachers, or security taking the proper measures to avoid things like that. They found this guy behind the garbage can in the area 65-70 feet away from the play area. How safe is that. I think this school needs to review its security measures, and bump them up a couple notches. Unfortunantly Im now sending both of my children for the 2010 school year. And I will be watching them both like a hawk, believe me you. The school work load was fine, the teachers for now good. I just wish security was better for this school.
