  • I loved this school. My son was on the 6-4 last year and the teachers were awesome! Wonderful feedback and willingness to work with parents on keeping your child on track! The only negative I have is the PE department. I called the coaches several times and sent emails and FINALLY got an email back after a week that was not to my satisfaction. I know sports are big here but that does not excuse the coaches from participating in an effective manner with making sure we are on the same page in our childs education. My son did not make honor roll because of PE and I never was given a satisfactory explanation of the C he received in that class.

  • The environment at Berry Middle School, from an architectural standpoint, is undoubtedly the most advanced design in all of Hoover City Schools.

Aside from the unique blueprints, though, the students at Berry have no logical reason to be so pretentious about this school.

A majority of the student body -- and even the faculty -- are extremely sports-oriented and could care less about the academic challenges presented here.

I'm not at all shocked to say that every budget revolves around the athletic programs in some way. Berry consists of two basketball courts, two football fields, and more than 4 tennis courts; apparently, athletics are more important than educational purposes.

I could continue my rant, but I'm sure you've read enough. to sum it up, if you want your child to become a wannabe NFL quarterback, Berry is their destiny.
