  • It is a really good school. Very hard to get into because it is so popular. Very competitive and political. The children work very long hours to be the best.
It is very prestigious to go there, more so than any private school in town. No private school could afford to offer what the taxpayers can for a very select few children.
Many of the students are children of teachers, professors and employees of FCPS they usually can get in.

  • It is a real good school. It helps they only accept a few kids and they get to select who they want. It is very very competitive. Most kids really love it but a few have a hard time especially lower income kids. It is a public school but hard to get accepted. Enormously political.

  • This is the best example of educating the "whole child" that I have ever experienced. It is an arts school - and art is an important aspect of public education - yet it also holds the students to high standards in all disciplines. It's a shame that not everyone understands and appreciates this gem of a school which is an essential part of the public school system.

  • This is a school that discriminates and uses arbitrary judgment in whether to allow a child admission or not, yet is funded by tax dollars. Schools that promote an elitist mentality like this should exist only on the private level and should not be supported by government funding.
