  • Excellent school with caring, supportive teachers. There are many, many opportunities to get involved. Captain Shreve has one of the best student councils in the state. They had the parish student of the year the past two years in a row, one of which was the state high school student of the year. Shreve obviously produces quality students and does an excellent job at preparing students for their future.

  • Captain Shreve was a clickish school full of old money and new money back in 71. Today as the 40th reunion is coming around, the same people are in charge, nothing has changed and it never will. In Shreveport, the same last names have appeared in the newspapers since Byrd Highschool began.

  • First of all some of you really need to learn how to spell! You cannot criticize an educational institution if you cannot even use words properly. Raise yourself up and do not worry about people with money, or supposed prejudice on the athletic fields or courts. YOU decide who you are...no one else! Take pride in yourself and always know that those who matter already know you inside and out.

  • i think you parents are being to sedity. shreve is awesome. and yet you are right about the money and the bowing down part. my principle dont even recognize me as a student and as an athlete on the gators girls basketball team. and being an athlete you dont get recognized as much as those who play soccer or lax or baseball. they leave out basketball. anyone who played in basetball has never gotton a scholorship ever as good as they are. i think this is stupid. captain shreve is really a bad school, but only bad in recognizing the students and being respectful. they deserve three stars. i rather go to bryd my 10th grade year instead.

  • This school is DEFINITELY NOT what everybody blows it up to be. unless, of course, you are an athlete, then they bow down to you! Then there's the group of parents who have tons of money to donate. of course the school worships them to! DO NOT want my younger daughter to go there! Would rather move out of state or to New Orleans! HATE IT!
