  • Ruston hugh school is, as i have heard from "teachers" at Ruston jr. high, a great school that will help you through the years. It is not so. If i could pick between getting 1 million dollars to go to ruston high or stay home and do nothing guess which one i would pick. Yep you're right, going to ruston high. But when you go to ruston high you do not get one million dollars. Actually the school is based on money. The more money they can get from the average student the better. but if a student tries to sell something at school he gets written up and suspended. I am not going to go to this school for i feel in the 1 hour tour that this school would be a bad learning environment due to all of the bullying and not giving us young adults any rights. For example. I got in trouble for answering the question "do you trust your parents" no. They wrote me up and suspended me. This school is a bad school for any and all students.

  • I have to say, as a former student of Ruston High School, my experiences were not very good. I was picked on by the staff, consistently put into detention and suspension for things that I did not do. I was poor, white, and not at all in the good graces of the school system. Ruston seems to be a town built on money and if you do not have it, then you are not welcome, even in the school system. I have never been so glad to be out of a town in my life. When I moved from Ruston, I was ecstatic. There are no other words to describe my feelings towards this school system. I am glad that I am not raising my children here.
