  • i'm a student at this school and i take offense to the comments that these people have written. Barely any of it is true. These negative comments are highly offending. Another thing is, every school in Washington Parish has to wear uniforms. All schools have rules, and our school is actually pretty lax when it comes to uniforms. You don't even get a Saturday until you receive a warning letter about uniforms and the teachers remind and warn us about uniforms before ever writing us up. Saturday detention is not assigned for tardies until you have 4 or more. Rules apply in real life; maybe the school is trying to get us ready for that.
If a Pine parent is saying that about our school maybe their child shouldn't go here.

  • I like the school, but I don't like the rules for the school. The uniforms are so strict, and we never get to just talk to our friends. If we're tardy we get Saturday, and it's not fair. You don't get that many recesses. You get one in the morning, and a 5 minute recess in the afternoon. We don't get to wear regular clothes witch I think is completely unfair, because other schools around Pine don't have to wear uniforms. I do like the teachers, but I think the school board could make the school lighten up a lot. I mean, you get Saturday detention for forgetting to put on a belt in the mornings, and you get Saturday detention for not tucking in your shirts. You get sent home if you wear the wrong color pants, or you wear a navy t-shirt, instead of a navy- color shirt. I hope everyone knows that it is a law for freedom of dress. That's why I think uniforms should be forgotten. Kids focus too much on how their uniforms look to study. If we could just wear blue jeans everyone would be happy. I know I would be. But like, the high school and jr. high are separated, and to be honest, my boyfriend is in high school, and I would love to see him more, and most of my friends are in high school, and I don't never get to see them, except for after school, and that's not fair. Well, I have to go, bye!
