  • Principal Leadership and Staff
Teachers are 50/50 ranging from the ones who truly care, to educational burnouts who regurgitate information from books and text rather than creating an involved learning process.

    Overall Ranking and Student Achievement
Good mix of students of many persuasions and backgrounds, lots of kids are inspired to dream and succeed here.

    Teacher Involvement and Guidance
Biased school that doesn't reach out to students who really need it or come from tough family situations. The truly "troubled" kids are shipped off to an ALC more readily than they should be and are often given ultimatums in such situations.

    Extracurricular Activities and Sports
One of the best programs in the country with very successful baseball teams.

    Classroom, Building and Playground Safety
Top Notch, buildings are kept in good maintenance as well as clean and visually appealing.

    School Homework Load Appropriateness
Overly burdening homework system common in schools today that offers little educational benefit in such quantity.

    Personal Experience
I went to many schools growing up including 8 secondary schools, the last 3 years of which landed me here. I was one of those student who "fell through the cracks" and were it not for the efforts of one dedicated English teacher I would have never completed my high school education. The school is paradise for someone who doesn't need a little extra time, but needier students would find this institution lacking. I was greatly discouraged while attending by a conversation between two principals about how I was on the path of "amounting to nothing". Were it not for the inspirational words of a teacher, I probably would have never gone to college. I graduated from college with honors and own my own company which uses technology to build computers and systems which assist disabled, special needs, and children with learning disabilities get more out of their educational experience.
