  • The CNA program is no reason to send your child to New Bedford High - CNAs only make $10-$12/an hour.... this program can be taken just about any where. My child has gone to NB High for 4 years and NOT ONE incident. Yes, there are trouble kids there, like anywhere and EVERYWHERE, but if your child is enrolled in Honors or AP classes - you have now distanced your child from most of the kids who do not want to be there so they cause trouble. I agree, I have heard teachers complaining about their jobs, but people complain to be heard. Maybe they are complaining to deaf ears within the system. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE SITUATION INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING YOURSELF. Enroll your child in sports. They are great outlets for children and they meet some great kids.

  • This school is unsafe, and full of bullies. Teachers complain to much instead of doing there job. children are scared to go to school because of the students you let in. There is to many gangs. My daughter freezes going to that school. Parents struggle we cannot afford to buy new sweaters every year, hand me downs and old sweaters and hoodies is what the children have. Get over your controlling self and let them wear a hoodie, other schools let them. Trust me if I could send my child to another school I would. I only gave you a one because you wouldn't let me give you less. On the plus side New Bedford high has some great programs( The CNA program for an example.) It is just not safe.
