  • I graduated from this school and would NOT recommend this school to anyone. I lived in constant fear when I attended this school which has affected me ever since with generalized anxiety.
Please do not enroll your child in this school.

  • I am a graduate from Ecorse High and many of the teachers are good and teach right and many are not. I can say that I could have learned much more and I do agree about the only counselor there, Mrs. Barnett and I believe that she should have been fired long ago.

They should have many more counselors as well. Mrs. Barnett had never helped me when I needed it. She took the time to see me, sure, but she never helped me with anything, not even during my senior year, when I was trying to look up scholarships.

Good news is that the school had recently added many extra classes for seniors to use so that all of their classes aren't electives during their senior year for lack of any classes left to take. But I could have done much more with that school.

My senior year, they had added uniforms and a strict dean to help control the school a bit more, so you can't say that they aren't trying to do better. But honestly, if I had a child, I would never think of enrolling them in that high school.

With all of this said, you cannot just blame the school. Many of the students that attend the school are very ignorant to begin with and many do not even know how to read upon attending there and the behavior of the students can be extremely volatile at times.

With so many students who do not even care about their education, how do you expect them to learn. It is both the school and the student's faults.

  • Bad choice to educate any child, regardless, to grade level. Your children will recieve an A and not learn a thing. The mission within this school is "as long as you don't complain." This is a horrible school disrict. Parent's begin to ask your student's question
s and implement changes for the benefit of your kids.

  • This school district has a lack of concern for ensuring that all of are children are exposed to the best advantages in learning. Many of the student's voice's fall on death ear's. There is a high lack of parental support. This institution does not give homework. They fail to effectively communicate with academic progress before report cards are distributed. Too many students are sent home based on hearsay. Many of the staff lack professionalism. This district is lacking organizational skills. Manyof the student's behave inappropriately on school grounds. Due to the lack of balance between the teacher, principal, student's and the school board, this district deserves a F.
