  • It saddens me to read the comments posted below. I graduated from BHS almost 30 years ago. Looking back I can see that the quality of education I received was far superior to what I have witnessed with my own children's public school education over the last 16 years. There was no gray area of right and wrong, regardless of how a student "felt" about the answer. We were graded on the merits of our own work, not time-wasting group projects. Discipline was swift and, generally, fair. Although I did not like all of my teachers I can say that the VAST majority held my education as a priority. What seems to be happening here is probably not an isolated incidence of lethargy or poor funding. It is a disease of the 21st century that unfortunately seems to have reached rural southwest Missouri. How sad.

  • It could be a lot better, but it has lost too many good teachers. We recently have lost excellent teachers: speech, music, Spanish, and math. (The math program, formerly exemplary, has been sadly reduced to mediocrity.) The administration needs to learn how to keep these good teachers or education in our community will continue to suffer.

  • This school has to be one of the worst! I agree with both statements and many of the rules are unfair. If a child in the school is attacked/tackled in the halls and a teacher sees this on camera, then later the principal talks to the students and gives the attacker what they deserve but the attackie just as much punnishment..is this very fair? I just don't understand this method! These school rules make me feel like I can't defend my self and shouldn't try to be my self. This school has taken my confidence and made me suffer through these miseribal years. I do not recomend this school what so ever!

  • Obviously, the spelling in the previous post should provide evidence of the validity for the need of improvement of the school!

  • i attended buffalo schools grades K-10 and i strongly do not recomend this school for anyone! the teachers as well as other staff members are very irational and rood, if you are not participating in any extra curricular sports you are not treated as well as those who are. the teachers also cannot control thier students very well and do not give the students as much help as they should, basically just hand you a book and the assignments and say read these pages, do the worksheets, and its due by the end of the hour!that to me is unexeptable! Also they DO NOT seem to care about the students! they treat everyone differenly. and i honestly can say it is nothing but a bunch of irresponsible adults on a power trip running that school!! so read and listen, if u must find out for yourself GOOD LUCK!!! and all of this is my own personal opinion!!!
