  • I attend the baseball districts in Hurley, MO on May 19th and was appalled by the poor sportsmanship of the players and coaches. The coach from Greenfield was cursing and saying inappropriate comments to the other team. Part of being a great or good coach is showing respect and being a leader/mentor for his team. I feel this coach is a disappointment to his community of students.

  • I was also I graduate of GHS and for what I can tell it's not the school!!! There is nothing in this small town for kids to do so they choose to party. As many kids that have graduated from this party town there hasn't been many deaths from it so they must learn a little!! As far as the kids being "farmer's kids" they all are not that!! Most of the kids don't even live on farms and the ones that do seem to be the kids that aren't choosing drugs and booz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I had two sons who have graduated from Greenfield, one in 1996 and one in 1999. Both played sports, rather well I might add, and both received academic scholarships. They both have master degrees in Business and Accounting from major schools, and have respectable jobs. Not bad for farmer kids. Is GHS perfect? No, but on the whole a very respectable school. By the way, my family farms, and are teachers, bankers, business owners, and we have had a few bums. A bed of roses is hard to find these days.
