  • There are too many problems with this school district, one of which is nepotism. Relatives of teachers get the jobs and really excellent teachers are turned away. Unfortunately, this is a problem with New Jersey in general, but this school district is overrun with this type of situation. There is also a silent mandate in this district that speaks of giving tests over and over until the students get higher grades, thus making the district look good in the eyes of the State Department of Education, leading to more money for the district. Politicism abounds in this district, as it does in way too may NJ schools, and it hurts the children, both academically and activity-wise. Do yourself a favor and do not send your children to this district. They all put on a good show, but when it comes down to really "teaching" your child how to think and think critically, this district falls by the wayside!

  • Our first year in from a private school - and I dont know what in the world I was wasting my money on!!
This school has so much more, and great communication on what the homework is, and grades the children are getting.
School is very very large - would like a class directory of some kind. Or small parent group meetings- like, lets say all kid in the same Science class, their parents meet up once a month, exchange #s etc.
