  • Terrible.Fort Plain Central School refuses to take responsibilty /action for their shortcomings and failure to provide an education for the students. Our experience with this school has been awful,at best.Fort Plain school district does not even barely meet State standards and should not even be considered by NYSED to be a participating school. As parents of a child with special needs attending Fort Plain School, the school failed to implement a IEP after our child repeated a grade two consecutive years (may this be a manifestation of our child's disability?) Gee,I dont know?!Instead,Fort Plain decides to cover themselves and their shortcomings, they will call NYS Child Abuse and Maltreatment Register to finally report childs truancy from school SURPRISE SURPRISE...The very day after we filed a petition to the Committee on Special Education where Fort Plain is forced to be accountable.Parents,I strongly urge you to examine the option of filing a (Section 504) if your child is experiencing learning disablilities and you are not getting the help you deserve! You have rights...defend your child!!
