  • After reviewing my recent tax bill and seeing how much we pay for education, I decided it was time to voice my opinion. My son is a team member of both your Ice Hockey "Club" and Indoor RollerHockey "Club". Both these sports are not considered school sports, and because of this we are charged to play in both leagues. If this "club" sport is not considerd a school sport that is funded by the tax payers, than why is it that they use the school name and have a website like all other sports in Calhoun? As you know the expense to play hockey is not cheap. Because of this many students are not able to play this sport. I know that Calhoun Deca is a school "club" and yet it is funded by the school. Can you please explain to me why we are being charged hundreds of dollars to play in the hockey club. Again they are known as Calhoun H.S. and you are reaping all the positive feedback and being recongized for the great players and winning games that these kids have had. Its time we put some of our hard working tax money to all school sports, and allow the unfortunate to play a sport they always dreamed of playing. . If there is anything I can do to help make this change, please don't hesitate to call upon me.Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

  • I think this is the best school in the entire school district. All of the teachers are so nice and they always want to help you in the best way they could. If you are looking for a high school this is the best one I been too. I have been to three of them before I came to this one but this is the one I really like the best out of all of them.
