  • I am also very disappointed with the quality of education at this school. We moved to the area from the north a few years ago and all research told us that this was one of the best schools in the area.

Cursive lessons were not completed by the end of 3rd grade. The math curriculum is weak at best. Schools in the northen states advance their students at a much more challenging pace. I know this from experience with schools in NY & NJ. I have family who teach in the NYC public school system and the difference in curricula is astounding.

  • This school likes to think that it is one of the best schools around but in my experience it is terrible. The administration is cleary unavailable to both staff and parents alike. It appears that the only important thing to them are test scores so that they can be ranked in a higher percentage rate than other schools. These scores do not accurately show how well the students are learning or even what their learning. My son went there for 3-5 grade and when he went into middle school this year it became obvious that he was never taught some of the basic skills that he needed. Multiplication is not part of the curriculum, it is left for the teachers to try to shove it into an already busy day and if their not able to it never gets taught. Phonics is also not part of the curriculum in wake county. Our kids deserve a whole lot more in my opinion.
