  • If you have a special needs child RUN from LHS! They are terrible and even though they boast wonderful programs for special needs kids. they really couldn't care less about them. It's all about keeping their numbers up. The middle school teachers even warned me that LHS was notorious for not accommodating differently kids. My daughter had a horrible experience and the teachers kept treating her like crap. We left and she flourished an another school.

  • My daughter started hanging with the wrong crowd & skipping school. I did EVERYTHING in my power to prevent this and was told to just come to school & follow her around. Seriously? I have a job! They told me they were too busy to worry about who was & wasn't in school (seriously that's what her principal told me!) I asked what all the security guards did besides walk around & eat bagels all day. He told me it wasn't their job to keep kids in school. I asked if I could make a flyer and hand it to them so if they saw her leave they could at least call me. They said I could but the guards & staff were too busy to deal with it. My daughter failed miserably at LHS. I went over and above, quit my job and found another that was more flex. but STILL didn't get the assistance I needed. She fell right through their cracks. :(

  • This was one of the worse schools I ever attended. They had their favorite students and the students they didn't like, I was one of the students they didn't like, only because I came from Cleveland. The (...) of my house was showing my grades to other parents. Lakewood High School is the worst school ever!

  • The high school was horrible for my child. I had to remove my child and place her in a different school and she soon graduated to OSU no thanks to Lakewood High School
