  • As it relates to educational choice, my family has a few. When our oldest child was set to start school, we were faced with either sending her to the traditional local public school, enrolling her in parochial classes, entering her in a local Christian school, or homeschooling. We also heard about a local academy which was part of Toledo Public but run like an independent academy. Although we did not know much about Grove Patterson, everything we learned during our research period said we HAD to sign up and hope our child was selected.

We were very fortunate since the first time we entered our childs name for consideration our family was one chosen. From the first day of kindergarten until now, when our daughter is starting second grade we have never been sorry one single day.

Our daughter has been challenged as well as been placed in advanced classes. She is learning Spanish, she is doing math with greater understanding than she would have received from traditional classes. All in all, we are very pleased and I believe it all points back to not only the curriculum but also, and especially, the teachers.

At every level GPS has garnered the best teachers in every subject. We are proud to be a part of GPS at a time when educational choices are ubiquitous, but most of those choices are unattractive. However, even if we had choices which were all very attractive, GPS would still be our first.
