  • Academically, they seem to be doing a sufficient job. However, there are serious flaws in the disciplinary system and in the attitudes of the administrators of this school. As a concerned parent, I have been dismissed, told that my opinion was unfounded, and told that my child and I needed to just deal with it all because life is not fair. The students are not treated with respect, and are subjected to things like "silent lunch" and are not allowed to speak during class changes, and are not given access to their lockers during the day. In all honesty, I feel that the school is more like a prison than a school. All they worry about is getting good scores on the state testing.the students are only test scores to the teachers.

  • After moving from California and putting my two daughters
    through EDMS and then through
NHS and enrolling my son into Grafton. Each of my daughters graduated with honors and my son, who is now in the 7th
grade and is also a honer
student and a member of the undeafeated 6th grade basketball team and they have started the 7th grade season
with a 2-0 record. These boys work and play hard and are doing GREAT. They all have been in the Northridge system
from kindergarden and work as a team in everthing they do. They were lucky enough to have a coach that has been there for years with baseball, football, basketball and the school system, parents
    and cummunity have been there.
As a parent, I am so glad we
    chose to settle in Northridge
and put our children throught the Northridge school system.
EDMS is the BEST school in Ohio

  • THIS HAS TO BE THE MOST POORLY RUN SCHOOL I HAVE EVER SEEN. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE WAY THEY HANDLE EVERYTHING! KIDS GET INTO ARGUMENTS AND FIGHTS SOMETIMES AND THIS SCHOOL WANTS TO KEEP PUNISHING THE STUDENTS OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR THE SAME CRIME. THIS IN TURN KEEPS THINGS STIRRED UP BETWEEN THE KIDS. IF THEY WOULD LEARN TO LET GO MAYBE THE KIDS COULD TOO. MY DAUGHTER HAPPENED TO HAVE GOTTEN INTO HER FIRST ACTUAL FIGHT AT ESTHER DENNIS A COUPLE WEEKS AGO, SO NATURALLY SHE WAS SUSPENDED. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THAT, THEN SHE WAS KICKED OFF THE TRACK TEAM. I'M MAD ABOUT THAT, BUT CAN UNDERSTAND. SO SHE WENT BACK TO SCHOOL ON 4-13 AND THE (...) IS TRYING TO PUNISH HER AGAIN BY NOT LETTING HER SIT BY HER FRIENDS AT LUNCH. WELL THIS I FIND APPALLING! THREE TIMES SHE IS PROSECUTED FOR THE SAME OFFENSE. WHERE DOES IT STOP? THE GIRL SHE GOT IN THE FIGHT WITH WAS AT SCHOOL ON THE 13TH AND THEY SAT AT THE SAME TABLE AT LUNCH AND NOTHING HAPPENED, SO WHY KEEP IT GOING? ISN'T THAT A LITTLE IMMATURE ON THE (...) PART? HIS LOGIC WAS THAT THEY AGREED TO MOVE ONE OF THE GIRLS WHEN THEY GOT INTO THE FIGHT AND THEY AGREED, WELL OF COURSE THEY DID, THEY WERE ANGRY AT THAT MOMENT BUT NOW IT'S OVER. MY DAUGHTER HAS ALREADY SERVED HER SENTENCE WITH THE SUSPENSION AND THE TRACK TEAM, AND THE OTHER GIRL WHO DID IN FACT START THE FIGHT WITH HER HARMFUL WORDS DIDN'T GET INTO ANY TROUBLE AT ALL. SO I FEEL THAT IF ANYONE SHOULD BE MOVED FROM THE LUNCH TABLE IT SHOULD BE HER CONSIDERING THIS IS WHERE SHE STARTED THE FIGHT TO BEGIN WITH. BUT MY PERSONAL THOUGHT ON THE MATTER IS "LET IT GO". THEY ARE TEENAGE GIRLS. THEY ARE GONNA FIGHT AND BE FRIENDS THE NEXT DAY. THAT IS IF THE ADULTS DON'T AGGRAVATE IT.
