  • The teachers do a great job of teaching the students the educational basics. The sports programs are rated tops as far a I am concerned. I believe that racial tolerance and alternative lifestyles should be taught in the home rather than in the schools and the teachers should be left alone to teach what our schools were designed to do in the first place. That is teaching the 3 R's. Parents should teach moral values and ethics in the home. I believe Columbia School is allowing this to happen with great results. I see tolerance and interest in the students where there might not be if having those things were crammed down their throats.

  • Thank you for the new left turn pocket into the school, and the new exit, both of which work well to keep rush hour traffic moving along. The smooth new pavement is great too, at long last! Sure hope the next step is to plant some trees along the rock wall and in the parking lot, to help soften the look of the big new buildings and to add shade. We miss the small school look of the campus. National Arbor Day is April 28th.

  • I like Columbia Ele. for several reasons. I like the small school atmosphere and we have some really great teachers. The teachers my children have had seem to push the students to excell and it shows.
The bad....there is no cultural diversity at the school. 95% of the children in attendance are Caucasion and while this is not the students fault I don't think the staff at Columbia does enough to teach racial tolerance. I would like to see more of this happen in the future.
