  • My children have excelled at Mayo! However, I hate to say it, but if your child is a "slow learner" then Mayo is probably not the best choice.

  • I enrolled my child here in Pre-k. My child is now in 3rd grade. I have now transferred schools, after seeing what seemed to be no progress and thinking my child was just not grasping school. I even thought my child may have had a learning disability! However, I was frustrated because I knew my child was very smart in other areas.

Upon transferring I had my child tested at a new school. Upon entering 3rd grade my child tested at a 1.5 (first grade 5th month) reading level and a first grade math level. He was immediately put in a Title 1 math and reading classes (not offered at Mayo). Now, after just 7 months at the new school he is reading at a 5th grade 2nd month level and is doing math at a 4th grade level. This says a lot! My child has struggled A LOT this past 7 months to catch up, but now it is all worth it. My child's self esteem and outlook on school has totally changed (from when he was at MAYO) My child is so excited and happy to be learning so much! I hate to be negative about a school, but please be very careful if your child attends this school or if you are considering it as an option.

Our kids and thier education are just too important. If you want your kids to have a great, or even good, education please think twice before enrolling them at MAYO. Don't let your child struggle like mine did!
