  • Sexist? The boys basketball team EARNED an endorsement from Nike. The girls aren't being unfairly penalized, the boys are being fairly rewarded.

  • This school is way too focused on truancy issues. I was actually dropped because of two tardies! Serious, I thought this wasn't legal, but apparently it is. Rather than focusing on whether the student is actually learning anything, all they care about is if the student is ON TIME. The teachers at this school are not even willing to help a student with there grades, just as long as you can learn enough to pass the oaks tests. Most of the staff is nice enough, telling kids they have a lot of potential, but really all they care about is getting kids to pass which is why instead of giving me the extra help I needed to pass because I went to north and now at south, I couldn't receive the credits I earned over there because the classes I took over there were different. So instead of taking there time to help, they would rather hand me off to MOHS so they don't lose money because of a somewhat failing student. This school is a joke.

  • I personally went to the school. I love it, the staff is willing to work with you no matter what an its small enough most teachers know everyone of their students by name. Of course there is room for improvement but isn't that true of any school. As far as the parent/guardian comment goes...why dont the girls basketball team work a tad harder to get money, see the boys basketball team is sponsered every think of that part. Dont make the athletic director out to be a bad guy. As for the principal its not her anymore an He cares a ton about his students. I was a cheerleader so please believe as a woman at the school i know how hard it is to get money. But we never threw a fit about not getting help which we didn't at all thanks...I feel the school, teachers, staff, an students all want what is best for each other. GO PANTHERS!!!
