  • This high school has put far too much emphasis on sports and music. Only 77% of the kids are on grade level in math. In science just 53% on grade level.

Steer clear of this school if your want your children to have a 21st Century education and get a job when they graduate.

  • This school prepared my children very well for college and life beyond. My three daughters graduated from SAHS and all graduated cum laude from college and from grad school.

  • The school has some award winning teachers. I realize that the school may not have a perfect environment, but there does seem to be a pride among its students. Academics and athletics are stressed. Some of our best students are also our best athletes.

  • Disappointed in the rampant diss'ing of academics at this school. Too much focus on sports. Too little focus on learning. We may be the top football and music programs but our test score in science are horrible! Just 40% passed the test. Plus 25% of the grads need extra classes to prep for college after they graduate!

  • I am shocked by the 5 years of poor math and science test scores at this high school. The community thinks highly of the music and athletics. The academics are really poor. Even the SAT scores are sinking. With low class size and highly paid teachers (top 15% of state), I expected much better.

  • There are a few outstanding teachers, but there are far too many who are just coasting. The students are hostile to new kids. There is a strong social class bullying culture which is reinforced by some teachers. Awards are usually given to teacher's kids and the town's elite. This school focuses far too much on sports. If you want a 1970's education, this place is for you.

  • This school is very stupid because it does not know how to run its school properly. This school needs to be shut down.
