  • Leadership ( ie. Principles and the " higher ups") fail to provide the skills needed to lead the district on the right direction. This failure will result in the district failing the children.

  • The diversity of this school is a valuable learning tool for social behavior and interaction among every walk of life. Instead of fighting against this as a down side, it is the parent's opportunity and I feel it is their duty, to use this as a stepping stone to their child's future in society. It starts here. How we approach these problems now, affect how well our kids handle real life.
NO school is without drug, teen pregancy, violent acts, etc. It is how we treat those problems that is the problem. Everyone is looking for an excuse.
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you deal with it. We need to look long and hard into that 90% of how we handle it and do a better job.

I rate Susquehanna school district among the best in the state. We have the best teachers. We have the brightest student body if we only allow them to believe it, in their hearts before they reach the lobby floor on their first day of their Freshman year.

For some it might be too late. But the future rests with the future students. It is not too late to give them the real key to success.

Take a proactive positive approach to your child's education, my God, it is the best defense against all the ills that are described in the ratings of some of these people.

No one said it would be easy so fasten your seat belt and take the journey. The ride might get rough but you will get through it.

  • High racial tensions. Complete lack of leadership by staff and administration. Does not share information with parents. VERY glad last child is done with this school.

  • Fisrt that stat is so very wrong how can that be true please enlighten me on that. If true how many were filed about the same inccedent? Second there really aren't many fights. When there isone the adults really love to puff it up. Slight drug issues yes but. Show me a perfect school with no issues what so ever and i'll show you what the adults don't see or know what happens in that " perfect or good" school. Next the PARENTS need to get involved that is the MAIN problem if they wre involved with they're kids lives more there wouldn't be as many issues as you claim to be.

  • If there was a 0, that would be my rating. High crime and violence in the school. Big drug problem with an ineffective staff although they do call police for incidents= average 175 police responses for 180 day school year, which doesn't count non-police incidents. Don't believe SAT scores and college reports.
