  • We moved to Rock Hill from WI in 2008, and I was very concerned with education differences between the South & the Midwest.

I have been pleasently surprised. I do not prefer the block scheduling as I think it can potentially leave to much time without a specific class such as math if u take it in different semesters each year.

But I think we have had great teachers, a wonderful principal and excellent funding & supplies/opportunities for our children from a public school. One thing I think is excellent is the discipline & level of respect taught in school. Family & community is taught to be valued and respected which I think is amazing as this is not a priority in all schools.

We have been very happy with our choice of Northwestern High School and would recommend the York School District to others as well.
