  • I have to disagree with the previous rating. Charlotte Middle School is a place I am glad to send my children. The teachers & staff are caring and considerate of the students. I have one child who is a straight A student and another who I am pleased when they bring home C's so I am not speaking merely on behalf of the way teachers treat my "good" child. The teachers are fair and my children have never had 5 pages of homework on one night unless they procrastinated on completing an assignment. I hate that the former student above did not enjoy the school but I would definitely recommend this school! As for the punishment issue, CMS could do a better job with being more consistent but really, couldn't we all.

  • Charlotte Middle School has to be one of the worst middle schools out there. Never have I seen such incapable staff and such an abundance of unhappy peers. I am so happy to have left that school those years ago with, not the knowledge taught to me, but the knowledge learned by myself from that establishment. Now I know not to ever send any children I might have in the future there. If you are a parent reading this, I recommend relocating if you want your child's self esteem and good attitude to stay the same. The behavior of others at this school, due to lack of punishment affects youths just coming in. The knowledge learned only comes in the form of book summaries and five pages of homework. The fail-rate at this school is the way it is for a reason. The teachers are just as incapable as the students. And the principal lacks the ability to see past his own opinion to rightfully punish students who have done wrong, or students who have done nothing. Though it may seem I'm speaking from my own opinion, you'd be surprised at the amount of people who think the exact same.
