  • First off let me say that the issue of cell phones has become completely stupid. I agree children should not be using cell phones during class. On the bus or in the hall seem a little over zealous to me. However, that is not my main complaint. If the school truly did not want phones used during class hours then there is a simple way to fix it, buy cell blockers, found on newegg, not too expensive, and the high school would need about 6 to stop cell usage on school grounds, however they will never do this due to the adults hired there who use their cells off and on all day. In fact one teacher who loves to take up cells from children actually sits in class texting and talking on the phone as do several of my child's teachers. If it is to distracting for children why are teachers allowed to use them when they are supposed to be working, what kind of ethic are they teaching our children. There is also a secretary in the office, that is married to the princip and is on a power trip because of it, she should be switched to another school this situation should never been allowed to fester. I understand they had a special vote so they both could be on the school board, however they should not be employed at the same school as she uses this to lord over other teachers, and students, when she does not have that type of authority by being a secretary. This school needs a good hard look by outside officials and attorneys, they are wasting our children's school time, calling in cops over cell phones, and making a big deal out of the children doing what they see the adults who are in charge doing. hypocrites, people and parents in Henry county need to wake up and stand up for their children and make the school accountable for their actions.

  • I feel the teachers and staff are concerned about the students of Henry County High School. The teachers are either already highly qualified, or they are full filling requirements to become highly qualified in their subject area. Teachers use several teaching methods in order to help all students learn.

The special education department strives to prepare special needs students to live as independently as possible, and be productive members of the community.

The new principal and the assistant principals, strive to maintain a school environment that is safe and conducive to learning.

Educators and support staff form a team to enhance the learning of all students.
