I feel you. And I'm sorry your grandson had to go through that. I went to Palm Elementary. I went on to Orange Grove and Los Altos after that, and probably could be your mother. I'm the oldest of four children. I saw things that people would be fired for today. but that was back in '78, and judging by the comments the concerned grandmother made, it would seem as though not a lot has changed.

All due respect to the exceptions in staff of course, there were a few good ones.

  • I am very disappointed in the school presently as my grandson came home with ripped up shirt and reports that he was beat up for racial reasons. I have only known him to be quite a sweet child who gets along with everyone. I'm hoping the principal will do something meaningful about this situation. He wants to know if the school in my neighborhood would be safe for him!! This is incredibly sad that he would have no protection from this behavior.
