  • I have been living in Kress, TX for 7 years and I love how peaceful and calm the atmosphere is here. It's not the biggest town out there, but I believe that that is what makes Kress such a nice and peaceful place to live. I attended Kress Elemantary School in 2nd grade, and I have to admit that it was a tremendous transition from my old school to this school...but it was a good one. There are fewer students in a classroom, which make it less hectic than other bigger schools, and also allow teachers to teach with greater ease........Fast-forward 7 years and it's my final year of Jr. High, and already I have encountered many great opportunities. I started out in 7th grade with A/P classes and have been doing very well. This school year, (2009-2010), I was nominated for a four day camp-like conference named National Young Leaders State Conference (NYLSC) ....visit www.cylc.org for more information.....also I won an award, "Tomorrow's Leader," and I am very thankful for this school for allowing me to achieve these goals.......and just to add on to that small list, I was also voted class president in both 7th and 8th grade.

So to wrap up this review all i want to say is that Kress ISD is a great place for a student to explore new and life-changing opportunities for the future yet to come.
