  • I'm going in the 8th grade this year. And I hear that it's pretty tough. I love the school sometimes and there are time where I don't like it all that much. It's not really the school it's the people that go there. There are so many kids who liked to get in fights and start drama with others. And I don't like that. I maybe emo and all but I don't fight. I just wished kids could be more mature. Does anyone know what I mean?

  • The only concern is that most students that take 8th grade Pre-Algebra have to attend summer school to pass. It is not good to see a school with this type track record with a particular teacher and not require them to explain things to the children in a way that they can understand it. My daughter has struggled before with Math but always had a teacher willing to break down the problems and help her until she understood. This particular teacher does not know how to explain other than on a college level. There is also a lot of students that brag about making out in the hall ways and mostly never addressed. These are children and they should not be allowed to conduct themselves in this manner. My daughter will have to repeat the 8th grade if I am unable to transport her to summer school due to mine and my husbands schedules, she makes decent grades in all other classes and this would be unfair to her. Please encourage the school to have the (...) taught by someone who knows how to teach 13 year olds.

  • The school overall has a great atomosphere but the teachers need to work more with students that need one on one time instead of giving them the answers help them figure out the answers.

  • I love this school, the teachers are wonderful. They are willing to go above and beyond there duties to make sure the children get a great education. If a child struggles they are there to help them along and not leave them behind. This school is GREAT...

  • The school has a great atmosphere for a student to grow, but if your child plans on continuing their education, this is not the school to go to. I am in my second year of college, and frequently have a hard time because of poor fundamentals that I have from Oak Grove. I graduated from Oak Grove with a 4.0 and being an honor graduate. If you want your child to go to college Oak Grove is not the place for your child, but if your child has no aspirations of continuing education Oak Grove is a fine school.

  • Loosing its education status with intelligent students. They are not getting what is needed!!!!!
