  • I am an attendee at LHS and my mom loves it because it is the best public high school in Stockton, CA. However, I wish it was more diverse.

  • As a former student, LHS has much to offer for those that have the motivation to build a solid foundation for college and post-college education. However, I wished that I received more direction from my counselors, more support instead of finding the right path through a little trial and lots of error. Moreover, the top-tiered students who wish to go above and beyond are, I feel, frowned upon; my desire to take an unusually difficult courseload would be suppressed for fear that I will fail under all the pressure, even when I assure them, from prior experience, that I am fully capable of handling myself. While it is fine to be protective and looking out for the student's best interest, please, know when to trust us. Hampering our motivation to excel will only hurt us in the long run.
