  • James Wood is a very great school. Ofcourse it isnt very diverse, but it is in the heart of Winchester. There is also a share of drama, but isnt it the parents duty to raise the kid? The sports teams and different clubs is what makes school worth it. You can find a mentor in many of the teachers, and also friends for life in the many students that go there. Most of the people who brag about being hard core, sleeping with people, or doing drugs are just lying, but doesnt that also happen in adult world. The staff there try to make the best out of the students, and thats what makes me proud to say im a colonel!!!

  • While the teachers are wonderful and the education is alright, the atmosphere of the school is reminiscent of a trailer park. The students are entirely self absorbed and want nothing more than to start trouble with each other while bragging about bed partners and drugs they have done. I am so thankful to have transferred and I wish luck to those of sound mind who are still trapped within its walls.

  • For the most part, the students are all caught up in the big drama, and they all say they hate this school so much. However, those of us who avoid the drama all agree that this is the best school. The drama club is amazing; all my classes are great; the teachers are all really understanding; I don't have an over-whelming amount of homework even though I'm in all-honors (unless I procrastinate..). How could it get any better? This is a great school with accepting students (as a whole... but there are always a few who aren't so nice). I'm very proud to be a James Wood High Student this year.
