  • my son attends this elementary and he is not at all challenged. He gets awards for being a good student along with everyone else in the class. It's a good thing for their confidence but i believe it DOES NOT REFLECT HIS TRUE ACHIEVEMENTS as he can't read his basic sight words, does not know his basic math, and school ends in two months. His teacher continues to say he's doing alright but i just wonder what standard is she using to say he's doing ok. my nephew who goes to an elementary in a different district is in pre-school and he teaches my son to read and how to do basic math. Go figure! I am moving out of district and into a better school district. I am disappointed that the school is geared to students that speak a second language than english. I can see huge improvements with this type of student, but if your child is an english speaker, he does not get all the attention that teachers give the other students. I want a school that will push my son to learn what he needs to succeed and appreciate learning. not give him a false illusion that he's doing great!
