  • What an awesome team of people.

The Parents and Teachers for Dixie were faced with a challenge over the summer.

The Friedman Charitable Foundation agreed to make an incredible matching offer. If $10,000.00 could be raised by the end of August, they would match it by $4.00 for every $1.00.

All I can say is; DIXIE ROCKS!
Thanks to the Parents, Teachers and Community Supporters the $10,000.00 was raised in just over 2 months!

The Dixie Canyon Students will be using new computers by Thanksgiving!

  • Dixie Canyon Elementary PTA directly funds: Computer Lab, Physical Education (every other week), Campus Supervision , Performing Arts Program, Visual Art Program, Youth Services (after school care), Assemblies, Credit Card and Returned Check Fees, Campus Beautification, Field Trip Buses, School Care Fund and Scholarships, Kinder and 5th Grade Funds, Staff Appreciation and Teacher Supplies ($300 gift card per teacher.) All of which are not fully paid for by the LAUSD. Parental support at Dixie Canyon funded a brand new Wonder of Reading Library, and is this year providing new furniture for the children.
And just over the summer raised $10,000.00 which will be matched times 4 by The Friedman Charitable Foundation!
This will provide new computers, printers, and technology equipment for their computer lab!
