American Literature Authors and Their Works
This lesson is on American Literature Authors and their works. It is a worksheet where students have to match the authors to the short story, poem, or book they wrote.
American Literature Authors: Here is a list of the authors used in this lesson: Ernest Hemingway, Edith Wharton, Washington Irving, James Fenmore Cooper, T. S. Eliot, Edgar Allan Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Edwin Arlington Robinson, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Herman Melville, Walt Whitman, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Mark Twain, Stephen Crane, Jack London, Willa Cather, William Faulkner, John Steinbeck, James Baldwin, and Robert Frost.
First, you will need to prepare the students ahead of time by going over the authors listed above and the main works they wrote. You can use the works that are in the answer sheet.
After that, you will copy the worksheet for each student.
Then, you will give the students the worksheet so they can work independently. You can use this as a test.
