Learning About Syllables
This lesson is on syllables. Students will have a worksheet where they will write down how many syllables each word has.
First, you will copy the worksheet I have included in this lesson.
After you have copied the worksheet, then you need to explain to the students about syllables.
You can write a few words on the board and show them the syllables. You can also say a word and have them clap out the syllables.
Example: Halloween - 3 syllables = Hall o ween.
After you have explained the concept to them, then you can pass out the worksheet for them to do independently.
When they have finished the worksheet, you can collect them and grade them.
