Description

This lesson plan is an additional assignment from the lesson plan: Learning About Weather.

Students will write a short story on the weather they chose in the lesson plan on Learning about Weather.

Goals

Students will learn:
To use the information they wrote about on the topic they chose in Learning About Weather
To write a short story

Materials Needed

Science book
Encyclopedia
Notecards or notebook paper
Pens and whiteouts

Procedure

First, students will use the information they wrote in the lesson plan: Learning About Weather.

Then, they will write a short story using the information. They need to choose a theme, setting, characters, and plot.

When they have completed their short stories, you can collect their papers and grade them.

Grading

You can grade on the accuracy of the information about the weather. You can also check on correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence and paragraph structure.
