Christmas Felt Scene
In this lesson, students will make a Christmas Scene out of felt. They will cut out patterns and glue the patterns on white construction paper.
First, you will take large pieces of felt of different colors and make patterns of Christmas items such as Santa Claus, reindeers, Christmas Trees, presents, house, and others on each piece.
For example, you can use green felt for Christmas Trees; red felt for a Santa Claus; brown felt for reindeers; different colors for presents and houses.
You will also need white and black for trim on the Santa Claus.
Then, you can let the students select their patterns. They also need a glue stick.
They will glue the patterns on their white paper so they can make a Christmas scene. They can also color on their construction paper to add more to their scene if they want to.
Finally, they can write their names on their papers.
You can grade the students on ho well they worked on their project and their creativity.
