An Amusing Speech
In this lesson, you will tell the students they are to think of an amusing speech and tell it to the class. This speech will be about an amusing event in their lives.
First, you will tell the students they need to think of something amusing that happened to them in their lives.
Then, write down specific notes on note cars about the event.
Practice giving their speech at home so they can present it to the class.
Finally, they will present their amusing speech to the class. They will use only their notes so they can occasionally glance at the notes. They need to have eye contact with the class.
The point of this exercise is to have the students come up with some amusing event in their lives and present it to the class. This will help students learn to speak in front of groups.
You can grade the student on how well they performed their speech.
Did they use their notes constantly?
Did they have eye contact with the class?
Was their speech realistic, or did they make up something that didn’t happen?
